Recently, I received a meaningful custom embroidery request from a customer who wanted to create a special gift for her friend.

The embroidery was inspired by her friend's Persian cat, who had been a loving companion for 18 years before passing away.

The customer shared a photo of the cat with me. From the single image, I carefully recreated the cat’s unique features — the gentle expression, fluffy fur, and the personality captured in the photograph — into a handmade embroidery artwork.

Before starting the embroidery, I first printed the cat’s image onto the fabric as a guide.

The real magic began with the silk threads.

I started with 4-strand natural silk threads to create the foundation and build the basic shape of the cat. Then, I gradually added details by layering 2-strand and 1-strand silk threads on top.

Through four carefully created layers of embroidery, I was able to add depth, texture, and dimension to the portrait.

The finer silk threads allowed me to capture the delicate details of the Persian cat’s fur, creating a soft and fluffy appearance. Every stitch was placed carefully to bring the cat’s expression and personality back to life.
