About Us
A Stitch in Time, A Craft for Generations
In early 2025, I set out on a journey to learn Canton embroidery—a centuries-old craft that I had long admired. I became an apprentice to a master of the art, starting from the very basics.
Day after day, I sat before the embroidery frame, practicing stitches until my fingers ached. I learned how to bring flowers to life with silk thread, how to capture the flutter of a bird's wing in a few inches of fabric. It was slow, painstaking work—but with each stitch, I fell deeper in love with the craft.
Along the way, I met the women who dedicate their lives to this art. Skilled, patient, and quietly devoted, they spend days—sometimes months—on a single piece. Yet many of them don't know how to market their work, how to price it fairly, or how to reach the people who would treasure it. Their masterpieces often sell for far less than they're worth, and their labor goes largely unnoticed.
It broke my heart.
These artisans pour their lives into preserving a craft that deserves to be celebrated. But without a voice, without a platform, their work remains hidden.
So I decided to create Yuen Embroidery Art.
This brand was born from a simple belief: that exceptional craftsmanship deserves to be seen, valued, and fairly rewarded. Every piece you see here has been lovingly handcrafted by us—we pour our hearts into every stitch. I also hope to create more opportunities for more embroiderers, honor their dedication, and share their art with the world.
When you bring one of our pieces into your home, you're not just buying a beautiful object. You're supporting a craft, a community, and the hands behind every stitch.
Thank you for helping us keep this art alive.
