About Us

My name is Penny Yu, and I am the founder of Yuen Embroidery Art.

In early 2025, I set out on a journey to learn Canton embroidery—a centuries-old craft that I had long admired. I became an apprentice to a master of the art, starting from the very basics.

Day after day, I sat before the embroidery frame, practicing stitches until my fingers ached. I learned how to bring flowers to life with silk thread, how to capture the flutter of a bird's wing in a few inches of fabric. It was slow, painstaking work—but with each stitch, I fell deeper in love with the craft.

My journey began with a simple wish: to let more people around the world see the beauty of Chinese embroidery – the elegance of silk thread, the precision of every stitch, the stories woven into each piece.

I believe that art should not stay in museums. It belongs in our homes, in our hands, and in our daily lives. I want my pieces to be more than just decoration – I want them to bring joy, warmth,and a touch of something meaningful to the people who welcome them into their lives.

This is why I create Yuen Embroidery Art. This is why I share.
